Introduction to Field
In the field of scientific fundamentals for nursing, to preserve human dignity and support coexistence, we will cultivate an interest in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) as well as the ability to identify cutting-edge challenges and underlying truths. We will also pioneer new approaches in interdisciplinary nursing, such as in medical safety, disaster risk reduction care and care-related tool creation. Our aim is to nurture personnel who contribute to basic specialist fields as well as nursing practice and nursing education through interdisciplinary research for the purpose of reinforcing the foundation of nursing.

Message
In the field of scientific fundamentals for nursing, the state-of-the-art will change with changes in perspective. A solid foundation is essential. Abraham Maslow describes health as a growing tip. In graduate school students should cultivate the ability to spread their “roots” and grow “new shoots.”
