Research Encouragement Scholarship for Graduate Students (Graduate School of Health Management)
Its purpose is to encourage the advancement of research by outstanding students, in order to strengthen the foundation for nurturing individuals possessing both rich intellectual capacity and social skills, who will be leaders in diverse research fields in the future, and who can contribute internationally through their research.
Eligibility: Second-year master’s students (including those in five-year integrated education program)
Annual payment amount: ¥300,000, ¥500,000 or ¥700,000

General Medicine Education Fund (Graduate School of Health Management)
The Keio University General Medicine Education Fund was established based on donations and gifts of assets from benefactors with the aim of promoting the practice and advancement of comprehensive medicine. It is designed to support individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm for studying comprehensive medicine and are excellent in terms of both character and academic achievement.
Eligibility: Second-year master’s students (including those in five-year integrated education program)

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage research by young researchers who will become the next generation of leaders.

Yoshiko Aota Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established through a donation from Ms. Yoshiko Aota, a graduate of the School of Medicine’s Department of Medicine Nurse Training Center, the predecessor of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care. It supports overseas research and study activities for students of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care and nursing major students in the Graduate School of Health Management.
Eligibility: Nursing major students
Annual payment amount: ¥100,000-¥500,000
Available to: 10-20 students (including undergraduate students)
Sakurai Yuji Midwifery Research Fund
Based on a donation from Dr. Yuji Sakurai, an obstetrician and Keio alumnus, this scholarship is intended to cultivate researchers and educators who demonstrate enthusiasm for midwifery research and contribute to the advancement of the field.
Eligibility: Graduate School of Health Management students
Annual payment amount: up to ¥200,000
Availability: 2 students
The scholarships offered by Keio University Graduate School are broadly categorized into three types: Keio University’s own scholarships (internal scholarships), Japan Student Services Organization scholarships and scholarships provided by private organizations and local public bodies. The objective of each scholarship scheme is to provide an environment where students can devote themselves to research and acquire specialist expertise, in order to cultivate individuals capable of contributing to society.
