Research Overview
Healthcare and long-term care services are highly personalized services that are closely intertwined with people’s lives. At the same time, as welfare services provided by the government, they involve significant amounts of public funding. My research analyzes various issues addressed as “healthcare and long-term care challenges” both domestically and internationally, taking into account the economic characteristics underlying the demand for and supply of these services. In particular, I conduct empirical analyses and offer recommendations regarding the location of healthcare and long-term care services within Japanese communities.
