Research Overview
We work on the development of novel thermally driven micro/nanomachines, aimingto establish thermo-mechanical system design engineering, namelyMechanoThermology, as a new research field. We synthesize unique thermoresponsive materials as minimum components of integrated thermomechanical system and create thermally driven micro/nanomachines such as electrothermal actuators by utilizing cutting edge micro/nano machining techniques.
