Research Overview

Nanophotonics, which studies the manipulation of light with nanostructures, is vital for realizing key devices in broad applications including quantum information processing and optical I/O in data centers. Our laboratory envisions that, for their realizations, flexible fusion among physics, functions and materials is indispensable, thus embarking on developing novel hybrid integration technology. The innovative approach will open the way for new photonics research, which is free from the restrictions imposed by conventional nanofabrication.
