Faculty of Letters French Literature Associate Professor

Research Overview

I'm interested in the 19th-Century French Literature, especially in the works of Stendhal, including fictions, biography, autobiography, travel books, political essays and art criticism. In particular, I focus on themes related to "morality," discussing how 19th-century writers transformed ideals inherited from the past. Through the interpretation of literary works, I hope to gain a perspective that allows us to relativize the various challenges we face in our lives.
