Research Overview
We aim for rational design of new condensed-phase materials on the basis of the understanding of electronic structures and reaction dynamics linked to their functions. In particular, we analyze the molecular mechanisms of heterogeneous solid-phase chemical reactions observed in thermal storage materials and nanoparticle catalysts by using physicochemical theory, quantum chemistry calculations, and molecular simulations.
