Research Overview

We study quantum many-body problems in ultracold atomic systems and magnetism by means of field theory and numerical analyses. We are particularly interested in topological order which cannot be characterized by any conventional order parameter, and explore novel topological phases in atomic systems in synthetic gauge fields. We also develop new methods for many-body systems based on quantum information concepts such as entanglement.
