General relativity: Grativational phenomena and objects including gravitational collapse, black holes and space-time singularities by mathematical methods based on causal structure, topology and differential geometry. Quantum information theory: Understanding the optimality of computation algorithms from time optomalty and from geometry of the quantum state space.
