Research Overview
Nano-scale structures fabricated on semiconductors are called mesoscopic systems. The main research theme is theoretical study of new quantum phenomena observed in these systems. For example, small zero-dimensional systems －quantum dots－ can be applied to quantum computers, spintronics, etc., if electron spins confined in them are artificially controlled. Our fundamental researches are linked to such new technologies.
