Research Overview
This laboratory focuses on developing molecular-based functional materials and devices exhibiting cooperative magnetic phenomena using knowledge of electronic properties of organic solids based on π-electron systems. Mechanism for spin alignment in molecular systems, such as stable organic radicals, metal complexes, and π-conjugated polymers, is experimentally elucidated and assembling techniques suitable for bulk electronic functions using molecular engineering approach are also developed.
Specialty
Organic Functional Materials Chemistry, Molecule-Based Magnetism, Molecular Crystal, Organic Fluorescent Material, Coordination Chemistry
