Research Overview
I have been researching aging and development of psychological functions such as cognitive function and personality, as well as social relations in later life. I also study psychosocial predictors of well-being and longevity in old age. Especially my current research focuses on the effects of the social and physical/built neighborhood environment on well-being and cognitive function in super-aged society with population aging and urbanization, and their mechanisms.
