Research Overview
My research explores the fundamental relationship between life and language. I am fascinated by the 'unknown world'—both internal and external—that unfolds when a learner encounters unfamiliar characters and sounds. This philosophy guides my teaching, where I aim to provide French learners with experiences that break the mold of their daily lives. By integrating manuscript studies, linguistics, and literary theory, I examine how literature can illuminate the underlying “meaning” of our everyday existence.
