Research Overview
My research specializes in the historical and institutional analysis of public finance. I have examined the structural characteristics of Japan's fiscal deficits, tax-and-transfer systems, and intergovernmental fiscal relations, with a particular focus on the role of social values that underpin economic factors. I am also engaged in international collaborative research on fiscal sociology, a field that has been garnering increasing attention in recent years.
