Sophia University, Keio University, and Tohoku University will co-host a three-part workshop series this academic year titled "Reconstruction of Ukraine and Considering the Future." The first session will be held at Sophia University on Friday, June 30.
While the situation in Ukraine remains unpredictable, discussions on post-war reconstruction have already begun in the international community. This workshop series will explore various aspects, including the latest status of reconstruction efforts both in Japan and abroad, the role Japan should play, and the nature of collaboration between industry, government, and academia. By integrating the knowledge cultivated by academic institutions, government agencies, and the industrial sector, we will discuss concrete plans for reconstruction support.
This workshop series will consist of three sessions, each held at one of the participating universities. Building on the outcomes of each session, we will progressively develop the discussions to deepen interest and understanding of this theme, and we also plan to compile recommendations for the international community.
