About the Admissions Procedures
The enrollment period varies depending on the graduate school and program.
Graduate School of Letters, Graduate School of Law, and Graduate School of Human Relations admit students only in April.
Graduate School of Economics offers admission in both April and September.
At the Graduate School of Business and Commerce, Master's Program in Taxation Policy and Management admits students in September, while all other programs admit students only in April.

The Application Guidebook for each graduate school provides the numbers of applicants and successful applicants for the past five years by graduate school and program. Statistics for individual examinations are not published.
Applicants are advised to review faculty publications, research profiles, and graduate course syllabi to identify a faculty member whose research interests align with their own. Applicants are also encouraged to contact their prospective supervisor before applying. Please refer to the Application Guidebook of your intended graduate school for further details.

Some graduate schools require applicants to submit the results of language proficiency or standardized tests, such as TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, IELTS, GRE, the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), or the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT N1). These test results are evaluated as part of the overall admissions review, together with other application documents and examination results. Therefore, no minimum score is set for these tests alone. However, if JLPT N1 results are required, only a passing result is accepted for application purposes.
For the Master's Program in Taxation Policy and Management (TPM) at the Graduate School of Business and Commerce, applicants are required to meet the minimum score requirement. Please refer to the latest Application Guidebook for details.
The following graduate schools offer the Exemption from the First Screening for current Keio University students who meet specified eligibility requirements. Please refer to the Application Guidebook of your intended graduate school for details.

Please refer to the Eligibility Requirements section of the Application Guidebook for your intended graduate school. Applicants who are required to undergo an eligibility review must submit an application for Eligibility Screening within the designated period.
Please note that the Admissions Office does not make individual determinations regarding eligibility by email or telephone.
All application materials must be completed within the designated space and page limits specified in the prescribed forms. As a general rule, applicants may not submit any documents or materials other than those explicitly required by the relevant graduate school.
The University is unable to respond to individual inquiries regarding the receipt of application materials or test score reports. Applicants should verify delivery using the tracking number provided by the postal or courier service, or contact the testing organization directly regarding the status of score report delivery.
No. Once submitted, application documents, theses, and any other materials cannot be returned or amended under any circumstances.
If your academic transcript, certificate of graduation, or degree certificate issued by your university is not in Japanese or English, you must submit a certified Japanese or English translation issued by an official institution, such as the embassy of the country where your university is located or a notary public office.For the Graduate Schools of Letters, Economics, Law, Human Relations, and Business and Commerce, translations certified by organizations other than official institutions (e.g., language schools) or by individuals are not accepted.
Yes. Applicants may apply to multiple graduate schools, provided that the examination schedules do not overlap. A separate application and payment of the application fee are required for each graduate school.
Yes. Applicants who were not admitted in a previous application period may reapply, except in the cases specified below.
AO Entrance Examination for Master's Program (Graduate School of Business and Commerce)
Yes. You may apply regardless of your undergraduate major or the graduate school from which you graduated (or expect to graduate), provided that you meet the eligibility requirements for admission.
Please note that some graduate schools require applicants to have completed specific subjects or coursework as part of their application qualifications. Be sure to refer to the Application Guidebook of your intended graduate school for details.
In addition, graduate study is primarily research-oriented. Courses are generally conducted on the assumption that students already possess the fundamental knowledge necessary for their field of study.
