In June 2005, Keio University established its Visual Identity (VI) to encourage more people to use its three symbols: "The Pen Mark," the "Emblem," and the "Sanshokuki." Furthermore, in August 2015, the guidelines were partially revised to further enhance the brand value of Keio University globally, not just within Japan.
An original logotype has been created for the school name notation, for which a recommended typeface had previously been established. The logotype is an original typeface newly created to better express the essence of Keio University. From now on, please use the logotype when writing the school name as part of the VI (this does not apply to body text).
With the creation of the logotype, the design of the emblem was also updated (August 2015). Please use the new data going forward.
The regulations for the standard brand colors have also been revised to include spot colors that are internationally recognized. In order to develop the value of Keio University without diminishing it, please refer to the usage methods listed in these guidelines and utilize the symbols effectively.
