Creating the Future of Learning
We promote the AI Campus Initiative and data science education, fostering curiosity from affiliated schools to graduate schools. We are expanding cross-disciplinary programs, including team medical care education through the collaboration of medical sciences, nursing, and pharmacy. Through the opening of learning via FutureLearn and extensive scholarships and career support, we will develop a learning environment that leads a constantly changing society.
AI/data utilization, cross-disciplinary, opening of learning, learning environment development, and integrated education correspond to "Education," "Global Education," "Expansion and Opening of Learning," "Learning Environment Development," and "Integrated Education" in the Medium-term Plan.
Implementing Knowledge into Society
We do not limit research results to theory but return them to the power of society through industry-government-academia collaboration and intellectual property strategies. We have top-level researchers in many fields, and backed by this advanced research capability, we strive to solve diverse social issues, starting with priority research centered on each center of the Keio University Global Research Institute (KGRI). We will bring this to fruition toward the implementation of cutting-edge "knowledge" and contribute to the construction of a better future.
Generating Challenges
We are developing entrepreneurship education across the entire university and strengthening startup support to give shape to the aspirations of students and researchers. In collaboration with the Keio Startup Incubation Program (KSIP) and Keio Innovation Initiative (KII), Keio University's own venture capital, we support challenges from both financial and facility perspectives. We aim to build an ecosystem that creates the industries and culture of the next generation.
Facing Social Issues
We sincerely face global challenges such as carbon neutral initiatives, the promotion of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and disaster recovery support. In addition to social contribution through medical care, we also focus on the promotion of sports, arts, and culture. Under the spirit of "Kyosei" (living together), we collaborate with local communities and act toward the realization of a sustainable society.
Collaborating with the World
As a major member of international consortia such as U7+ and APRU, we lead the resolution of various global issues. We accelerate cross-border learning through the expansion of double degree programs and degree courses taught in English. We promote global development as a knowledge hub open to the world, where diverse international students gather and researchers collaborate closely with overseas institutions.
