On June 18, 2026, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced that Keio University placed 213th globally in the QS World University Rankings 2027—up from 215th in the previous year—putting it in the top 14.1% of the 1,504 institutions evaluated. Of the 41 Japanese institutions ranked, Keio came in 10th.
Headquartered in the UK, QS ranks universities and institutions worldwide based on their aggregate score across nine indicators, including Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, and Citations per Faculty.
Keio’s performance was particularly strong in two of the nine indicators, ranking 50th globally (5th in Japan) for Employer Reputation and 84th globally (2nd in Japan) for Employment Outcomes, placing the university among the world's top 100 in both indicators.
