Keio University to confer the Honorary Degree of Doctor
upon Professor Patrick Chedmail

Update:Oct. 19, 2012

Keio University will confer the Honorary Degree of Doctor upon Professor Patrick Chedmail in appreciation of his achievements in the development of new technology in the fields of robotics, computer-aided mechanical design and manufacturing, and operations research and for his contributions to the development of the international programs, such as the execution of the double degree agreement between Keio and France's Écoles Centrales Group. The Conferring Ceremony and Commemorative Lecture will be held on Friday, October 26, from 13:30. We welcome members of the media.
In addition, we will hold the "Ceremony and Symposium Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Collaboration Between École Centrale de Nantes (ECN) and Keio University" after the Commemorative Lecture. We hope to look back on the two universities' path of international exchange and explore possible routes for the future through lectures by Japanese and French faculty members and a panel discussion led by double degree program alumni. All of the above events are open to members of the media.
