On July 4, members of the British Olympic Association met with people from various departments at Keio to discuss various details surrounding the Team GB July 2019 Training Camp at Hiyoshi, which is a precursor to the Team GB pre-Games Camp for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The BOA members and several Team GB athletes will stay and train at Keio for around one week.
BOA Preparation Camp Project Manager Lewis Coggins gave a presentation about the various activities the BOA is engaged in. Also in attendance from the BOA side was Sport Manager (Preparation Camp) Nathaniel Reilly-O'Donnell, Program Manager Amelia Ashton-Jones, and Head of Preparation Camp Nicki Phillips.
Keio was represented by members of the Hiyoshi Management Service Center, the President's Office, and the Global Engagement Office. A lively and detailed discussion was held by the participants for roughly two hours from matters regarding the July 2019 training camp to the challenges that await.
