Keio Hosts the Experience Japan Exhibition in London
On Saturday, November 14, Keio and the British Council cohosted the Experience Japan Exhibition in London. This study and work in Japan fair, now in its fifth year, is widely recognized as the largest of its kind in London.
This year, representatives from 18 Japanese universities and 5 other Japan-related organizations based in the UK ran booths at the exhibition and welcomed more than 520 visitors from all over the UK and Europe. Throughout the day, the booth area was full of visitors eager for information on studying and working in Japan.
Moreover, a wide range of topics were taken up in the seminar program to which students listened intently and deepened their understanding of Japan. The program included presentations by students in the UK on their experiences studying in Japan, a session on working in Japan, and talks by scholars on “NHK Taiga Dramas” (NHK annual historical dramas) and tourism, shinkansen bullet trains and history, and insights into Japanese culture through language.
