Keio Campus Festivals 2013

Update:Nov. 29, 2013

Festivals were held once again this year between October and November across each of Keio's campuses.

Held over a two-day period on October 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun), the 14th annual Yagami Festival bustled with attendees from around the area, who enjoyed scientific twists given to exhibits by the Faculty of Science and Technology. The 22nd Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC) Fall Festival was held over the same two-day period, its customary firework finale brilliantly choreographed in the autumn night sky. Also held over the same weekend was the 6th Shiba-Kyoritsu Festival on Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus, the home of Keio's Faculty of Pharmacy. The Faculty of Pharmacy attracted a great visitor turnout with their highly-professional exhibits and displays in the field of pharmacy.

Shinanomachi Campus, which houses Keio's School of Medicine and Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, held their 36th Yotsuya Festival on November 2 (Sat) and 3 (Sun). Students focused on the latest in advanced medicine in several of their exhibits.

The festival season was concluded with the 55th Mita Festival, which was held over a four-day period from November 21(Thu)-24(Sun). One of the largest university campus festivals in Japan, the Mita Festival attracts hundreds of thousands of festival-goers each year. It is based around Keio's founding principles of independence and self-respect, relying almost entirely on student initiative and participation from the first stages of planning to the final stages of execution and cleanup to ensure the festival's success.
