Fall 2009 Keio University Entrance Ceremony was held on Thursday, September 24 at the West Building Hall, Mita Campus. This year’s intake of undergraduate programs was a total of 30 students. (Faculty of Law: 6, Faculty of Policy Management: 9, and Faculty of Environment and Information Studies: 15) Newly enrolled students in master degree programs were 111 students (Graduate School of Science and Technology: 40, Graduate School of Media and Governance: 39, Graduate School of System Design and Management: 15, and Graduate School of Media Design: 17), and there were 47 new students in doctor degree programs. (Graduate School of Science and Technology: 27, Graduate School of Media and Governance: 11, Graduate School of System Design and Management: 4, and Graduate School of Media Design: 5)

At the ceremony Vice-President Akira Haseyama gave a report on academic affairs which was followed by an address from President Atsushi Seike. Speeches at the ceremony were also delivered in English for foreign students. Prof. Wanglin Yan at Graduate School of Media and Governance and Faculty of Environment and Information Studies also made a congratulatory speech. On behalf of the new students, Sae Miyake at Faculty of Environment and Information Studies made a speech. The ceremony ended with Alma Mater “The Juku-ka” sung by all the participants.

2009 Fall Semester Japanese Language Program Opening Ceremony was also held at the North Building Hall, Mita Campus on the same day.
