Fall 2012 Keio University Entrance Ceremony

Fall 2012 Keio University Entrance Ceremony was held on Wednesday, September 19 at West Hall, Mita Campus. This year’s intake of undergraduate programs was a total of 174 students. (Faculty of Law: 7, Faculty of Policy Management: 23, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies: 33, Japanese Language Program: 111) Newly enrolled students in master degree programs were 144 students (Graduate School of Letters: 3, Graduate School of Economics: 1, Graduate School of Science and Technology: 56, Graduate School of Business Administration: 2, Graduate School of Media and Governance: 48, Graduate School of System Design and Management: 9, and Graduate School of Media Design: 25), and there were 51 new students in doctor degree programs. (Graduate School of Science and Technology: 30, Graduate School of Media and Governance: 13, Graduate School of System Design and Management: 4, and Graduate School of Media Design: 4)

At the ceremony Vice-President Akira Haseyama gave the Incoming Class Report which was followed by a welcome address from President Atsushi Seike. Prof. Katsuhiko Ogawa at Faculty of Environment and Information Studies also made a congratulatory speech. On behalf of the new students, Xiong Di at Graduate School of System Design and Management made a speech. The ceremony ended with Alma Mater “The Juku-ka” sung by all the participants.
There were many new students from all over the world which made the ceremony filled with international atmosphere.
