Update:Apr. 10, 2012

Keio University held its Postgraduate Entrance Ceremony at the Hiyoshi Commemorative Hall on April 4, 2012. This Spring Postgraduate Entrance Ceremony was the first in two years, since last year’s spring ceremony was postponed until September in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.
A total of 1,717 students from its 14 graduate schools (1,242 doctoral, 245 master degrees, and 230 professional degrees) were welcomed this year.

At the ceremony, Vice-President Akira Haseyama gave the incoming class report, which was followed by a welcome address by President Atsushi Seike in both Japanese and English.
Prof. Hiroyuki Kishi of the Graduate School of Media Design gave congratulatory speeches on behalf of the faculty, encouraging them in their future endeavors. The ceremony ended with singing of Alma Mater “The Juku-ka” by all the participants.

After the ceremony, students attended their respective graduate school guidance sessions, and embarked on a new chapter as graduate school students.
