Postgraduate Degree Conferring Ceremony 2012
Keio University held its Postgraduate Degree Conferring Ceremony at the Hiyoshi Commemorative Hall on March 29, 2012. A total of 1,727 degrees from its 14 graduate schools (180 doctoral, 1,328 master degrees, and 219 professional degrees) were conferred on students.
The ceremony began with Vice-President Akira Haseyama’s Graduating Class Report and continued with the conferment of diplomas on the representative of Keio’s newest graduates. After President Seike addressed this year’s graduates, Prof. Eishi Yamamoto of the Faculty of Letters gave a congratulatory speech on behalf of faculty members. The ceremony ended with singing of Alma Mater “The Juku-ka” by all the participants.
After the ceremony, graduates were conferred degrees from their respective graduate schools. Many people stayed after the ceremony to take photographs and celebrated their new starts.
