President Seike attends Global University Summit 2011
On May 6 and 7, 2011, the 2011 Global University Summit was held in Paris, France, and as representatives of Japan’s university Presidents, President Seike of Keio University attended the summit along with the Presidents of University of Tokyo and Nagoya University.
The Global University Summit was first held in Sapporo in 2008 as the G8 University Summit, in which university leaders from G8 countries, major non-G8 countries and the United Nations University participated. The Global University Summit was held this year for the fourth time under the theme of “Sustainable Development & Knowledge Society: What Structuring and Cooperation for Universities in the 21st Century?”, and university Presidents from around the world participated.
