SFC Services Affected by Scheduled Electricity Blackouts

Electricity blackouts are currently being experienced at Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus due to the scheduled blackouts (“rolling blackouts”) following the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake. Be aware that services at the university may be unavailable during or following a blackout. Certain services have been temporarily suspended for power conservation purposes due to the restrictions on electricity supply.

Services Suspended During a Blackout:

1. SFC-CNS Network Services
Check the following link for the anticipated service suspension times affecting all network services such as CNS mail.

The SFC website and SFC-SFS can usually be viewed even during a blackout, but in certain circumstances, it may not be possible to view these websites.

2. Certificate Issuing Machines
Note that the machines may not operate in the event of a blackout. Check the following link for the details of operating times of certificate issuing machines at each campus:

Services Temporarily Suspended:
The Wellness System (online reservation system for physical education classes) has been suspended from 12:00 noon, Wednesday, March 16. We will advise when the system will restart at a later date.

For further information regarding the blackouts, refer to the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) website. Note that the Shonan Fujisawa Campus is in “Group 1.”
