Fall 2010 Keio University Entrance Ceremony
Fall 2010 Keio University Entrance Ceremony was held on Wednesday, September 22 at the West School Building Hall, Mita Campus. This year’s intake of undergraduate programs was a total of 180 students. (Faculty of Law: 5, Faculty of Policy Management: 17, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies: 18, Japanese Language Program: 140) Newly enrolled students in master degree programs were 93 students (Graduate School of Letters: 8, Graduate School of Economics: 1, Graduate School of Science and Technology: 33, Graduate School of Media and Governance: 32, Graduate School of System Design and Management: 5, and Graduate School of Media Design: 14), and there were 56 new students in doctor degree programs. (Graduate School of Science and Technology: 28, Graduate School of Media and Governance: 16, Graduate School of System Design and Management: 5, and Graduate School of Media Design: 7)
At the ceremony Vice-President Akira Haseyama gave the Incoming Class Report which was followed by a welcome address from President Atsushi Seike. Prof. Hiromichi Fukui at Faculty of Policy Management also made a congratulatory speech. On behalf of the new students, Keiko Sasaki at Graduate School of Media and Governance made a speech. There were many new students from all over the world which made the ceremony filled with international atmosphere.
The ceremony ended with Alma Mater “The Juku-ka” sung by all the participants.
