Keio University is selected in three fields of the Global COE Program

Update:Jun. 15, 2007

Keio University was selected in three fields of the Global COE Program by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (see below). The Global COE Program is designed to succeed "21st Century COE Program" inaugurated by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2002. Its aim is to support establishment of world-class education and research centers within Japanese universities with an eye to raising their competitiveness to the highest world level.

All three programs were proposed to advance achievements of the programs established in the "21st Century COE Program". The programs were selected in recognition of the achievements made under the "21st Century COE Program", the additional five-year research plan, and plans to foster world-class researchers mostly from Keio University's doctoral programs.
