Vice President of Keio University Prof. Jun Murai, and Prof. Aftab Seth visited Republic of India

Prof. Jun Murai, Vice President for Keio University, and Prof. Aftab Seth, at Global Security Research Institute visited Delhi, Republic of India from 3 to 5 January, 2007. The purpose of this visit was to begin to build collaborative relationship between Japan and India in the field of science and technology and information technology in which Keio University will play a leading role.

During their visit, they met key people of various organizations such as University of Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi、Indira Ghandi National Open University, and Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL), one of the major telecommunication company. They also called on the Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Science Government of India, and Japanese Ambassador to the Republic of India.

All the discussion they had with these people on science and technology and information technology were very active and corporative and agreed to work together to materialize collaborative projects among universities in these two countries.
