Keio University and Kyoritsu University of Pharmacy begin merger discussions

Keio University (Yuichiro Anzai, President and Head of the Board of Trustees) and Kyoritsu University of Pharmacy (Yoshiyuki Hashimoto, Head of the Board of Trustees) both based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, have agreed to begin discussing a possible merger of the two institutions. If an agreement acceptable to both parties can be arrived at, the universities intend to draw up an Agreement of Merger in March 2007, which will outline terms and conditions for the intended April 2008 establishment of a Faculty and Graduate School of Pharmacy at Keio University.
