Louis Vuitton Japan Seminar series - public lecture held
In October last year, Keio University, Louis Vuitton Japan and the French Embassy in Japan signed an agreement to establish a seminar series to promote understanding between France and Japan. As a result of this agreement, the Louis Vuitton Japan Seminar series will be offered to Keio University graduate school students from this year. Seminars will be held on the Mita campus at the Graduate School of Law in the spring semester and at the Graduate School of Business and Commerce in the fall semester. In keeping with the overall theme "governance and leadership", these seminars are intended to meet the needs of an increasingly globalized modern society and will involve a total of four lecturers over the spring and fall semesters. This unique seminar series was made possible through collaboration with the French government and a multinational corporation.
A public lecture was held to establish the series at the North Building Hall on the Mita Campus at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 12. Approximately 160 people, including Keio University students and members of the public, attended the lecture by spring semester lecturer Professor Philippe Nemo of the ESCP-EAP European School of Management. The audience listened intently to his lecture entitled
"The Education of Leaders in a Global Society".
Earlier that day, a joint press conference was held by Keio University, Louis Vuitton Japan and the French Embassy in Japan to mark the establishment of the seminar series. Keio University President Yuichiro Anzai, President & CEO of Louis Vuitton Japan Mr. Kyojiro Hata, Cultural Counselor of the French Embassy in Japan Mr. Jean-Louis Mucchielli, and Professor Philippe Nemo of the ESCP-EAP European School of Management shared their thoughts regarding the establishment of this seminar series.
