Standard & Poor's, R&I ratings a credit to Keio
Standard & Poor's, the internationally respected rating firm, recently affirmed Keio University's long-term credit rating of AA (stable). According to Standard & Poor's:
"Keio University maintains a very strong position in Japan's higher education sector, backed by its top-class education and research capabilities, and its extremely strong competitiveness in attracting students and external funding. The school has been continuously expanding the scope of its education and research, and it has made progress in forming ties with overseas partners."
Other companies who received the AA rating include Canon, 3M and Wal-Mart.
Rating and Investment Information (R&I), a Japanese firm, also renewed Keio's senior long-term credit rating of AA+, the highest rating for a Japanese university, for the third consecutive time.
