New Partnership with King's College London
On Monday November 21, a ceremony was held at the Waterloo Campus of King's College London(KCL) to commemorate a new partnership with Keio University. President Yuichiro Anzai and Vice-President Tatsuya Sakamoto represented Keio at the ceremony, while KCL was represented by Principal Rick Trainor, and Vice-Principal Keith Hoggart. The agreement will seek to foster exchange programs for graduate students and collaborative research opportunities.
King's College London was founded in 1829, greatly contributing to the advancement of technology in the 19th Century, and playing an important role in improving accessibility to higher education for women and working people. The College is recognized for its academic excellence and its conveniently located campuses in downtown London are currently home to over 4,000 international students from around the world. In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) carried out by the British Government, KCL was awarded top scores in 5 fields, and has a long term credit rating of AA- from Standard and Poor's.
Keio now has 190 collaborative agreements with 152 institutions around the world, providing a wide variety of international opportunities for students, faculty and staff, and encouraging a cosmopolitan and diverse student population at our campuses here in Japan.
