Keio Selected for Internationalization Promotion Program

Two projects at Keio University have been selected for the FY2005 Program for the Promotion of Internationalization of University Education. This Program is another “Good Practice (GP)” university support scheme provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in addition to the “Support Program for Distinctive University Education” and the “Support Program for Contemporary Educational Needs”. Two projects at Keio University have been selected: one for the Advanced Overseas Education Project Grant, to support projects that improve educational curricula and methodology through the dispatch of academic staff overseas; and one for the Strategic International Cooperation Grant, to support education through partnerships with overseas universities.

The selected projects are as follows:

  • Advanced Overseas Education Project Grant
    Project name: Innovative Introduction of Advanced Overseas Integrated Medical Education - Methods of implementing a successful integrated medical education program by dispatching medical academic staff members overseas for long-term and using the expertise obtained
    Project unit: School of Medicine
  • Strategic International Cooperation Grant
    Project name: Advanced Engineering Higher Education Through a Double Degree Program
    Project unit: Faculty of Science and Technology and the Graduate School of Science and Technology.
