Duesseldorf University Orchestra Concert

The Duesseldorf University Orchestra (Germany) held a concert from 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27 at the West Hall on the Mita Campus.

A large number of music lovers, including Keio staff and students, gathered at the West Hall to attend the concert. After performances by the Keio University Wagner Society Orchestra and the Duesseldorf University Orchestra, both groups then combined to perform the final item of the program. The combined 150-member orchestra was so big that some players had to perform in the audience seats. The orchestras impressed the audience with the perfect harmony of their dynamic performance and at the conclusion of the concert, the packed auditorium gave a lengthy standing ovation.

The reception party, held after the performance to celebrate the visit of the Duesseldorf University Orchestra, was an opportunity for active exchange and featured speeches from the Presidents of both universities, speeches from the representatives of both orchestras and group photographs.
