Yonsei-Rikkyo-Keio Leadership Forum 2005

The Yonsei-Rikkyo-Keio Leadership Forum 2005 was held from Thursday, August 18 to Monday, August 22 at the Shonan Village Center (Hayama-machi, Kanagawa Prefecture). This event was held jointly by Yonsei University (Korea), Rikkyo University and Keio University.

The Leadership Forum, now in its fourth year, began as a result of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by Korea and Japan. Yonsei University is one of Keio University’s oldest partner universities and Rikkyo University has an exchange agreement with Yonsei University.

On the first day, participants visited the Mita campus and received words of encouragement from President Anzai. The students then traveled to the Shonan Village Center wearing matching t-shirts, gifts from Yonsei University. The schedule for subsequent days included many opportunities for active exchange including lectures with the theme of “Leadership in Democratic Society” from Professor Atsushi Seike and Professor Yoshihide Soeya, as well as group discussions and presentations in English. Participants also had the opportunity to deepen friendships at a barbeque later that evening.
