Update:Oct. 19, 2005

Paul Wolfowitz, President of the World Bank Group, visited Keio University on October 12th to deliver a lecture entitled “Trading for Results: Realizing the Development Promise of the Doha Agenda”. After President Anzai gave his welcome speech, President Wolfowitz delivered his talk to a packed North Building Hall audience at the Mita Campus. Following his speech, Keio students, faculty and other guests participated in a lively question and answer period.

During his visit to the University, President Wolfowitz had a chance to chat with international students who are currently enrolled in Keio’s Master’s Degree Program in Taxation and Policy Management through the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program. The partnership between the World Bank, the Japanese Government, and Keio University was established nearly ten years ago to help developing nations strengthen their human resources.
