Agreement on Academic linkage and collaboration between Yonsei University and Keio University Renewed
Keio University and Yonsei University (Korea) had comprehensive agreement and held a signing ceremony, after having agreed on the establishment of oversea representative offices and double degree program. The signing ceremony was held at Mita Campus of Keio University on December 12th, and President Chang-Young Jung of Yonsei University and President Yuichiro Anzai of Keio University signed the agreement. The first academic exchange agreement was signed between both universities in 1970, and we welcome the 40th year memorial of diplomatic relations established between Japan and Korea followed by a comprehensive agreement. This year’s renewed agreement has expanded its scope as follows:
The new agreement aims to:
- establish representative offices that will facilitate collaboration: a Yonsei Tokyo Office at Keio University, and a Keio Seoul Office at Yonsei University in April 2005
- explore collaboration in education, including double degree programs
- promote collaborations at the “Research Institute for Digital Media and Content (DMC)”.
- encourage exchange through sports
On the same day, a symposium for "The Evolution of Keio Digital Learning" was held and had numbers of participants from Yonsei University and other major East Asian universities.
Keio University and Yonsei University hope to produce international individuals with broad view through our outstanding programs and research institutions. Furthermore, both universities will continue to make global contributions towards the achievements of intelligence. We are confident that the establishment of representative offices and the double degree program will immensely promote our academic activities.
