+Tuition Fee
  • Please note that students pay the admission fee, tuition fee, facilities fee, experiment and practical training fees, and information network registration and usage fee, which are subject to change from year to year based on a sliding scale. In the case that an increase in fees is to be applied, the rate of increase will be based on a slide rate (such as the increase rate of the salary of national government employees as announced in the National Personnel Authority's annual salary recommendations in the previous year). However, the sliding scale will not be applied to fees for students of the Graduate School of Business Administration, Graduate School of System Design and Management, Graduate School of Media Design, and the Graduate School of Law who entered Keio University before 2010. Additionally, the slide scale will not be applied to the admission fee for students enrolled in the Graduate School of Law after 2011.
  • Students who graduate from an undergraduate faculty of Keio University and enter a master’s or doctoral program, pay only half of the specified admission fee if they enroll in the semester directly after their graduation or in the next enrollment period (it is only possible to enroll in the official enrollment periods of April and September). However, graduates of Keio University's correspondence courses must pay the full admission fee.
  • Students who finish a master’s program at a Graduate School of Keio University and enter a doctoral program do not need to pay the admission fee if they enroll in the semester directly after their graduation. Students who finish a Graduate School program at a Graduate School of Keio University and go on to enroll in another Graduate School at Keio University, do not need to pay the admission fee if they enroll in the semester directly after their graduation or in the next enrollment period (it is only possible to enroll in the official enrollment periods of April and September). However, students enrolling in or finishing a program of the Keio University Law School must pay the full admission fee.
  • Students who graduate from the Keio University School of Medicine, pass the initial clinical training, and enroll in a doctoral program at the Graduate School of Medicine in the following year, pay only half of the specified admission fee.
  • The admission fee and the Student Health Insurance Union Registration Fee (100 yen) will only be collected the first year and are not included in the total academic fees for current students.
  • Tuitions and other fees can be paid in two annual payments (Spring Semester: End of April / Fall Semester: End of October). However, some other fees are collected in a lump sum during Spring Semester. Students who entered Keio Law School before FY2010 will pay tuition in three installments throughout the year: academic fees (other than tuition) and other fees, Spring Semester tuition fees, and Fall Semester tuition fees. Academic fees (other than tuition) and other fees will be paid in installments. Fall Semester academic fees will be paid when paying tuition for Fall Semester.
  • Other Fees will be revised as needed during a student’s enrollment period at Keio.

*1 For the Graduate School of Letters Major in Library and Information Science, 24,000  yen will be paid as Experiment and Practical Training Fees.

*2 As a part of the Graduate School of Letters' "Other Fees", Materials Distribution Fee and Other Course-Related Fees will be required for the major to which you belong. Academic journal subscription fees for each major are listed below.
Major in Philosophy and Ethics / Major in Aesthetics and Science of Arts: 3,000 yen. Major in History: 3,500 yen. Major in Japanese Literature / Major in Chinese Literature / Major in English and American Literature / Major in German Literature / Major in French Literature: 4,000 yen. Major in Library and Information Science: 3,000 yen (Students who entered before 2010: 2,000 yen).

*3 For students who entered the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences before the 2007 academic year, the Tuition Fee is 575,000 yen and the Facilities Fee is 60,000 yen (Other items are the same amount as those in the fee schedule).

*4 In other fees for the Graduate School of Business Administration (Master's), the admission fee for the Keio Management Society is only charged in the first year of study, so it is not included in the total academic fees for current students.

*5 Tuition fees for the first year level of the 3-year Course for Law School are 1,300,000 yen. From the second year on, tuition fees will be 1,400,000 yen.

*6 For students admitted before FY2008, other fees will be 10,800 yen.
